Discover a Different Side of Kenya

Private, tailor-made Kenya journeys & safaris | Beyond the classic routes

Personal attention · Small groups · 2–6 guests · Space for experiences beyond the ordinary

Kenya is more than safari.

We want to show you a Kenya that we know and love ourselves – from the remote desert landscapes and unique cultures of the north, through the highlands, rainforest and Lake Victoria in the west, to national parks and Mount Kilimanjaro, the landscapes of the Great Rift Valley and the mysterious Taita Hills in the south and center of the country.

As an Austrian-Kenyan couple, we live in Kenya and personally support you in planning and carrying out your trip.

Kenya, the way we love it

For us, Kenya is more than just a travel destination. It is a country we keep exploring, discovering new places and returning to old favorites.

We want to show you special landscapes and lesser-known regions, while also getting to know the people, cultures, ways of life and stories that make each region unique.

Our trips combine major natural highlights with places and experiences that are not part of many conventional Kenya itineraries.
Safari by vehicle and on foot. Crossing a desert. Hikes through rainforest, cloud forest and mountain forest. A boat trip across Lake Turkana to a volcanic crater. Rock art in the middle of nowhere. The vastness of Lake Victoria. Encounters with local people.

That combination is exactly what makes our trips special.

Why Njia Panda?

Njia Panda means "crossroads" in Swahili – a place where paths meet and new directions emerge.

For us, the name represents the connection between different paths, perspectives and experiences. Journeys where the most direct route is not always the most interesting – and where sometimes it is precisely the turns that lead to the most special moments.

Why travel with us?

Private & small group

With a maximum of six people, you enjoy a more personal and flexible travel experience, without the dynamics of a large tour group.

We know the country

We live in Kenya and regularly travel throughout the country. We have traveled many of the routes ourselves and visited many of the places we take you to.

No standard itinerary

Our trips are carefully planned, while still leaving room for spontaneous stops, unexpected discoveries and whatever happens along the way.

Flexible

We know from experience: things do not always go according to plan in Kenya. A road may become impassable, a vehicle may break down or circumstances on the ground may suddenly change. We respond flexibly and look for solutions.

Locally connected

We work with local people and local guides. We want to show you not only the landscapes, but also give you insights into life in the different regions.

Personal support

From your first inquiry until the end of your trip, you have direct points of contact. For selected activities, we can also accompany you personally, on request and by arrangement.

“We visited Kenya in April 2026 for two weeks. The whole trip was perfectly planned by Waltraud and Kim, who took care of us right from the airport. They booked all the accommodation and entrance fees. We visited Amboseli National Park, Tsavo East and Tsavo West National Parks, Taita Hills, Diani Beach, Kongo River, Mombasa, saw magnificent Kilimanjaro, beautiful nature, amazing wild animals and ate lots of coconut beans, chapatis and kuku chomas.

Thanks to their knowledge of all of these places and people, we got to know authentic Kenya with all its beauty. The itinerary contained active days full of exploring the culture and nature of Kenya but also a few days at Diani Beach, where we could just relax.

We definitely wanna come back, next time also with kids.”

“Our trip through Kenya in March 2026 was an absolute adventure and a perfect mix of vibrant city life, breathtaking safaris and pure relaxation on the Indian Ocean at Diani Beach, the most beautiful beach in Kenya.

Together with our two guides, we started our journey in Nairobi. From there, we continued to Lake Naivasha and then to the northern reaches of the Serengeti, the Masai Mara. From there, our journey took us to Amboseli National Park, with the absolute highlight being an early-morning hot-air balloon ride with unobstructed views of the snow-capped Kilimanjaro. Back in Kenya's capital, Nairobi, we enjoyed the city atmosphere before continuing south towards the Indian Ocean.

Thanks to our two guides and the privately arranged, individually planned journey, we were able to experience and enjoy Kenya very flexibly and away from mass tourism.

We will definitely be back!”

“We spent two weeks travelling through Kenya with Waltraud and Kim and had the chance to experience one of the most adventurous, diverse and, at the same time, beautiful trips we have ever taken.

Our journey started in Nairobi and took us to Lake Naivasha, where we went on a walking safari, followed by incredible safaris in Amboseli National Park and Tsavo East. We then continued to the Taita Hills, where a guided hike allowed us to discover a completely different side of Kenya.

To finish our trip, we headed to the coast, with beautiful beaches, snorkelling trips in the Indian Ocean and plenty of time to simply relax.

If you are looking for an authentic and individually tailored trip through Kenya, you are in great hands with Waltraud and Kim. And one insider tip from us: make sure to ask them for their food recommendations!”
